UW Honors College Grants

The Honors College welcomes grant applications to support research and creative work, specifically to support the cost of materials and related travel. Please note that grant requests should not exceed $3000. Grant applications must be submitted on an individual (per student) basis, even if the project is a collaboration with other students. Check out the Honors College Grant Application for more Information. Applications are received on a rolling basis.

Honors Capstone Completion Grants

The Honors College has a limited number of $500 awards to support research and/or creative activity for students working to complete Honors College capstone projects.The main purpose of the award is to give students a financial boost in the weeks leading to the completion of the capstone project. We want to help you be able to focus even more on this important piece of your Honors education. The deadline for 2023 Honors Capstone Completion Grants Application is February 28, 2023.

James Willits Prize

The Honors College has up to two $1,000 awards this Spring to support research and/or creative activity for students in any field working on projects that engage issues of ethics in some capacity. This grant is officially named the James Willits Prize, supported by the Garber family. The deadline for 2023 James Willits Prize Application is February 28, 2023.
